Whenever I visit from ATL I visit screaming vegan at least once! This time I did the patty melt!
Used to be a local; decided to stop by while I was here and man am I glad we did! We had the amazing fried mushroom oysters, the Mac daddy, the chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets for my daughter. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING & TASTY! Service was welcoming and hospitable. Restaurant is small w outside seating which was pretty cool. Went back for a salad which was awesome! We will be returning to support ! Thank you
What a great place! You can tell a lot of love goes into this venture. The gentlemen behind the counter were just amazing--personable, welcoming, sincerely committed to ensuring we were happy with our meal. You can tell these guys love what they do. As for the food, it was top-notch. We had the crab cake sandwich and the crispy chicken salad with hand-cut fries and finished up with oatmeal raisin cookies. All vegan and made on-site. All delicious. All perfect. The shaded dining area out back was quiet and perfect and we finished our meal with a fun round of cornhole. We live 6 hours away so I'm sorry we can't be regulars, but if we lived nearby, we would be.
Everything time I come back home to Roanoke I always stop at this restaurant. They are very nice and professional. It was a little hot sitting inside waiting on my food, but the guy did let me know they have seating outside in the shade. I got the Mac Daddy burger and the chili cheese fries they are delicious
My bf and I stopped here on a trip to North Carolina. This was the best vegan homestyle comfort food I've ever had, and I've been vegetarian since 1998. The Brussels sprouts were crispy on the outside and tasted bright and citrusy. It was delicious and we would've stopped on our way back home, but it's closed today.
Been looking for anything vegan on our trip and finally stumbled upon this little gem of a place! The people were so awesome and so nice! Great conversations! If we are ever back this way we will definitely come back! We licked our plates clean!
Seriously- if you're in this area you NEED to come here for that home style comfort food. How do the brussels and the asparagus got such a fantastic char without being dried out?! I could eat them both all day. The po boy special was amazing, with the spicey slaw, the mashed potatoes with the steak and mashed potato were so full of flavor. I put vegan chicken broth in mine and theirs blew it outta the water. The food was fantastic, the guys were super nice, and sitting out back was quiet and chill. Drove from NY and this was a specific place I needed to try, did, and am not disappointed. Keep this business going. GO EAT AT SCREAMIN VEGAN
Unbelievable food ! This comment from a non vegetarian! Our Son, his wife & 4 children ( our wonderful Grandies are all vegan !) So we ordered Take Out ( still practicing Covid safety) I had the delicious crab cake combo, I truly meant to take photos of all the fresh hot food -- but ate it (Actually inhaled ) the Grandies had "chicken" nuggets And " Cheesebugers w/o cheese ! They ate a lot more than I thought they would ! Dan had the hotdogs w/chili - by the time I time I thought to ask for a bite they were GONE ! A separate paragraph devoted to FRESH CUT FRESH FRIES !!!! They were on par with an order of "Frites" we Have a couple weeks ago.... Where they were 13$ for one small order.... I believe I will go back whenever we're in Roanoke !!!!
